We invite students to participate in the American Mathematics Competitions (AMC 8, AMC 10, and AMC 12A), hosted by the Mathematical Association of America. These contests are among the most respected in the world, with over 300,000 participants each year across all 50 states and more than 30 countries.

-AMC 10/12: Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 6:00 PM
-AMC 8: Friday, January 23, 2026, at 6:30 PM

About the contests:
AMC 8: For students in grades 6–8 (or younger). A 25-question, 40-minute multiple-choice test covering middle school math topics such as counting, probability, estimation, proportional reasoning, geometry (including the Pythagorean theorem), spatial visualization, applications, and interpreting graphs/tables.

AMC 10: For students in grades 9–10.
AMC 12: For students in grades 11–12.
AMC 10/12 contests are the first step on the path that can lead to the International Math Olympiad. They encourage analytical thinking and strengthen problem-solving skills, which are useful for both academic and professional growth.

You may participate at your school if it offers the contest. If not, you are welcome to register and take it at Prime Factor. Registration is open to all interested students.
