Improvisation - weekly Drop-In Class

Have you ever felt shy or uncomfortable when put on the spot — or simply frozen, unable to speak?
Would you like to boost your creativity and let your inner child come out to play, free from fear of judgment?

Improv is a powerful tool — a kind of superpower — that helps you connect with your imagination and others, without overthinking or awkwardness.
Through fun games and exercises, we’ll explore how to quiet the inner critic and bring ideas to life in a fresh, playful, and authentic way.

Improv is all about spontaneity, connection, and self-expression. It can support your personal growth in many areas — whether that’s improving social interactions, showing up more confidently in professional settings, collaborating better in teams, getting inspired as an artist, telling compelling stories, or even performing on stage.

In this drop-in, I’ll guide you through the basics of improv, followed by more advanced exercises, with lots of fun, high-energy games and some simple scene work. Together, we’ll create a bit of magic.

No experience needed. Ages 18–99+ welcome!
Just bring a willingness to be a little silly — and a water bottle to stay hydrated.

Hello everyone, my name is Karolina. I'm an actor and improv teacher with over 12 years of experience in the world of improvisation. I've performed in a wide range of improvised plays — from short-form comedy (the stuff that makes people laugh) to long-form pieces — on stages across international improv festivals, and of course, at the Edinburgh Fringe.

I’ve been teaching improv for several years, running courses for both beginners and advanced students, as well as working with theatre companies and in corporate environments.

My teaching style is all about creating a fun, supportive, and non-judgemental space that sparks joy and leaves you smiling — and hopefully eager for more! I aim to be a gentle and kind guide, always doing my best to take everyone’s individual experience into account.

The sessions are relaxed, with simple, easy-to-follow instructions. I love to keep things light-hearted — expect lots of laughter, zero pressure, and a good dose of playful nonsense (in the best possible way).
