Are you ready to restore balance, awaken your energy, and reconnect with your true self? This 8-week course is designed to guide you through each of the seven chakras, using the powerful tools of Kundalini Yoga โ€” movement, mantra, meditation, and breathwork.

Its purpose is to activate your Kundalini energy (shakti). This is a spiritual 'life' energy that is located at the base of your spine.
As Kundalini yoga awakens this energy, itโ€™s designed to enhance your awareness and help you move past your ego. Sometimes, the practice is also called โ€œyoga of awareness".

The exchange is ยฃ12 per class if you book individual classes, or exchange ยฃ90 for the whole 8-week course. Booking is essential for every session, as we have limited class spaces.

What happens in a class:
* Opening chant. Every class begins with an opening chant, also known as tuning in.
* Pranayama or warmup. Youโ€™ll do breathing exercises, called pranayama, and sometimes also movements to stretch your spine. The goal of pranayama is to practice breath control.
* Kriya. A kriya is a sequence of postures, pranayama, mudras (hand positions), sounds, and meditation. The length and intensity of the kriya depend on your instructor.
* Relaxation. This allows your body and mind to absorb the effects of a kriya.
* Meditation. Your instructor guides you through meditation to cultivate awareness.
* Closing chant. The class ends with a closing chant.

What to bring:
We work off a matted studio floor, but some people like to bring their own yoga mat or sheepskin rug for insulation or placement; some people like to bring their blocks or cushion; however, these are provided. Please bring water to drink.

Kundalini is for everyone: we can adapt the yoga for anyone who has health conditions, injury, illness, is pregnant or has age-related body restrictions; please discuss with Jennifer.
