After 7 years of dedicated service, it is with heartfelt gratitude that we must say farewell to our University Chaplain, Fr Laurie Foote O.P., as he returns to Adelaide to be prior of the house of St Laurence. Since 2019, Fr Laurie has been a beacon of light through his homilies, spiritual direction, theological discussions, and much more.
Through thick and thin, tears and laughter, Fr Laurie has witnessed and embraced it all with a sincere smile and a steady presence. At the age of 80, with 40 years of University Chaplaincy experience around NSW, ACT and VIC, Fr Laurie advised that he will dearly miss this ministry as it has provided him with so much life and energy!
We warmly invite you to join us as we celebrate and honour the ministry and dedication of Fr Laurie Foote O.P. On Friday, February 27, 6PM, at the JPII Catholic Student Centre (150 City Rd, Darlington, 2008), we will gather for mass, followed by refreshments.
