When we understand each other’s unique ways of thinking, we unlock the full potential of creativity, innovation and problem-solving. And by embracing diversity, we can work together to tackle some of the complex challenges of our time.This session will help you to develop your understanding of neurodiversity as an important aspect of human diversity, to understand the origins of this social and political movement, and explore the ways that different mindsets influence practice. You will deepen your understanding of foundational inclusive practices in education and care and reflect deeply on the power of language through a strengths-based, neuro-affirming approach.Limit of two people per organisation.This workshop is part of the City of Sydney's Connect Sydney program, funded by the Department of Communities and Justice. The program aims to build the capacity of community and not-for-profit organisations through the provision of free skills and governance training for organisations that support and provide services to children, young people, families and communities experiencing or at risk of vulnerability within the City of Sydney local government area.We aim to deliver inclusive and accessible training sessions.
