The inaugural An Emo Extravaganza unites a stacked international lineup headlined by Florida alt-rock icons 𝐀𝐧𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧, alongside Atlanta pop-punk outfit 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐥, American Music Award winners 𝐇𝐨𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐑𝐚𝐞, Virginia Beach rising stars 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐝𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞, and acoustic emo duo 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞.
For more than two decades, Anberlin have remained a formidable force in the alt-rock world, boasting a wildly devoted fanbase who’ve come to rely on the cathartic power of their music. This year marks a milestone: the 20th anniversary of their seminal 2005 album 𝑵𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝑭𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑷𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍, which the band will perform in full, plus fan favourites, at An Emo Extravaganza. Fresh off the release of 𝑵𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒌𝒆, a reimagined version of the beloved record celebrating its legacy, Anberlin are entering a new chapter with Matty Mullins (Memphis May Fire) stepping in as live vocalist. Fans can expect a rare and nostalgic set that bridges the past and the present. 𝐀𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐞 wrote of their last visit in 2024, “𝑡𝑜𝑛𝑖𝑔ℎ𝑡 𝑓𝑢𝑟𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟 𝑐𝑒𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑜𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑠𝑐𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑑 𝑔𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑟𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑠 𝑜𝑓 𝐴𝑢𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑙𝑜𝑣𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝐴𝑛𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑙𝑖𝑛’𝑠 𝑚𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑐,” while 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐩𝐢𝐭 praised “𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑑 𝑒𝑛𝑒𝑟𝑔𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑎𝑛𝑑, 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑎 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑚𝑎𝑟𝑘, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑎 𝑤𝑜𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑑.” 𝐗-𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐞 summed it up best: “𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑟𝑒𝑡𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝐴𝑛𝑏𝑒𝑟𝑙𝑖𝑛’𝑠 𝑠𝑒𝑡 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑠 𝑎 𝑡𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑎𝑡𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦, 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑦𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑝𝑜𝑤𝑒𝑟, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑎𝑏𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 𝑡𝑜 𝑑𝑒𝑙𝑖𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑏𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑙𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑤𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑜𝑟𝑙𝑑.”
Joining Anberlin on the lineup is Cartel, returning to Australia for the first time in over a decade. Breaking out in the mid-aughts, Cartel artfully threaded the space between the turn-of-the-millennium pop-punk tidal wave and the widespread virality of the social media generation. As the group stares down the 20th anniversary of their 2005 breakthrough LP, 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒂, they do so with both an appreciation for what their past has afforded them and an excitement for what the future holds. Chroma spawned the Gold-certified hit “𝑯𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒍𝒚,” and catapulted the childhood friends onto Warped Tour, TRL, Epic Records, and millions of MySpace Top 8s. Now, two decades later, Cartel are set to perform Chroma in full at the, revisiting the album that inspired a generation.
Hot Chelle Rae join the bill fresh off a resurgence that’s reminded fans of their knack for hook-filled pop-rock anthems. Known for their triple-platinum hit “𝑻𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑻𝒐𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕” and Top 40 single “𝑰 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑰𝒕 𝑳𝒊𝒌𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒕,” both off their sophomore album 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓, the Nashville trio honed their stagecraft touring with Taylor Swift, Demi Lovato, and Justin Bieber. After a brief hiatus to focus on songwriting, the band returned reenergised, bringing with them a new batch of tunes and a sound indicative of their growth as writers and people. For An Emo Extravaganza they’ll walk down memory lane, performing Whatever in full.
Broadside make their Australian debut at An Emo Extravaganza. A band who has spent the past decade carving their own path in pop-rock world. Drawing influence from The Killers, AFI, Kings of Leon, and Taking Back Sunday, their evolution has been nothing short of remarkable, taking them from underground favourites to genre staples. Now entering a new chapter with Thriller Records, the band remain driven by passion, friendship, and the belief that growth is essential.
Long Beach duo 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 will perform their debut album 𝑪𝒍𝒐𝒖𝒅𝒆𝒅 in full. Formed by two drummers-turned-songwriters, the pair began as a full band before stripping things back to acoustic guitars and harmonies - a move that would come to define their sound. Clouded became a breakout success in 2014, leading to global tours with the likes of Pierce the Veil, Dashboard Confessional, and New Found Glory, plus back-to-back runs on Warped Tour.
Keeping the vibes high all day, 𝐀𝐌//𝐏𝐌 and 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲 DJs will be spinning all the best emo anthems between sets. An unmissable celebration of all things alt, An Emo Extravaganza 2026 brings together the past, present, and future of alternative music.
