In August 2026, we celebrate 20 years of Ginga de Resiliência in Australia and the Escola de Capoeira Angola Mato Rasteiro (ECAMAR) — two decades of transforming lives through Capoeira, culture, and community.

To mark this milestone, we warmly invite the Capoeira community to join us for a 4-day celebration from 30 July to 2 August 2026.

This special edition will be honoured by the presence of
Mestre Roxinho, directly from Ilha de Itaparica (Brazil) — a guardian of Capoeira Angola and a reference of wisdom, resilience, and ancestral tradition.

Expect:
• Capoeira Angola rodas
• Classes, workshops, and music
• Talks, storytelling, and cultural exchange
• Community gathering and celebration of our shared journey

Let’s come together to celebrate 20 years of ginga, resistência, and connection.
All schools, students, and friends of Capoeira are welcome.

Thursday 30th of July - The Settlement

4:30 PM Enter and warm up
5:00 to 9:00 PM workshop with Mestre Roxinho
9:00 PM Social Dinner at local Pub

9:30 AM – Start of the Day
10:00 to 12:00 AM workshop with Mestre Roxinho
12 noon to 1:00 PM Lunch Break
1:00 to 5:00 PM workshop with Mestre Roxinho

Sunday 2nd of August - The Settlement
10:00 AM workshop with Mestre Roxinho
1:00 PM onwards BBQ
