Redcar & Cleveland’s magical Winter Safari themed season kicks off in spectacular style in Redcar Town Centre on Sunday 23 November with the Christmas Lights Switch On.
From 12 noon, visitors can enjoy festive tales and tunes with Estelle the Enchantress; climb inside a giant Snow Globe for a family photo and enjoy walkabout characters including The Grinch & Cindy Lou, Frosty the Snowman and the Snowy Sisters.
Everyone Active will be on site keeping you warm and active with fun interactive games and strength tests. They will also be running prize draws for everyone, with chances to win memberships, family swim vouchers, guest passes and much more.
A Christmas Market will offer a range of tasty food and drink with stalls to satisfy every taste including Chicken Ting, Let’s Hog Roast, Fire Pit Pizza, Dough Vine, Bakes & Treats, The Lady Grey Mobile Bar and Bloom Coffee Box.
Arriva will be bringing their Christmas bus to the event with free crafts for all and visits to Santa and there will also be a festive singalong around the Christmas tree.
From 4pm there will be live entertainment on the BBC Tees stage hosted by Scott Makin. Look out for the UK’s youngest crooner, Tik Tok sensation George Robinson before the lights switch on at 5pm.
