Members Visit to Alpek Polyester

Discover the UK’s largest PET resin manufacturing facility, producing up to 610 tonnes per day of PET for food and beverage packaging across the UK and Europe.

During the visit, you’ll gain insight into:

· The scale and design of a modern PET resin plant

· How PET is produced at industrial scale

· Early-stage work exploring pathways to incorporate recycled content

The agenda includes a brief overview of Alpek’s global polyester business, followed by a guided tour of the LC1 plant, showcasing key stages from polymerisation to pelletising and finished product loading.

Alpek’s team will be on hand throughout to discuss PET manufacturing, recycling, and circularity projects.
