Cody Benjamin -- Cozy Up & Read

Red Wing resident Cody Benjamin will be speaking at our third Cozy Up & Read program. Cody is the author of numerous books, both fiction and nonfiction. His short-story collections are “A Fateful Night at LeBlanc's”, “I Found You in the Past” and “A Merry Ol' Mess.” He credits “The Twilight Zone” TV show for inspiring some of his fiction. His nonfiction books cover topics as diverse as football, movies and even a memoir (“Skyline Teardrops”) about his experiences one summer volunteering, struggling and growing while trying to make an impact in the city of Detroit. Cody has covered the NFL for CBS Sports and can be seen on WCCO.

With each program, please come a little early. There will be a small gift waiting for you and you can enter the door prize drawing, which we hold after each speaker’s presentation. You can also enjoy a hot beverage and late morning nibbles provided by our Hospitality Committee.

If you’ve been doing some new-year tidying and found some books you’d like to donate, you can bring them. By getting them to us now, volunteers will have time to sort them for the Big Spring Sale. Also, the Friends are in need of both paper and plastic grocery bags. Please drop off any extras you have.
