Longtime running of the Upper Perkiomen Valley Christmas Parade. The cherished parade — one of the last remaining animal parades in Pennsylvania is here to stay. But Santa needs your help.

The love for this special community event sparked a wave of local support, uniting neighbors and organizations to save the Christmas Parade in the Upper Perk Valley in the Winter of 2025.

The newly revived Upper Perkiomen Valley Christmas Parade will occur on Saturday, December 5th, 2026, to align with the Upper Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Winter Tree Lighting Festival.

The Parade of Animals and People (no motorized vehicles or unofficial Santas) will step off in Red Hill Social Hall, 82 E 5th St, Red Hill, PA 18076. Official time TBA. Traveling along Main Street through Red Hill, Pennsburg, to East Greenville, ending at the 4&5 Center rear parking lot located at 510 Jefferson St, East Greenville, PA 18041. 

Afterward, families are invited to gather on St. Mark’s lawn for the UPV Winter Tree Lighting Festival — featuring vendors, food trucks, live music, festive activities, and even a visit from the Grinch. This year’s tree promises to shine brighter than ever!

For decades, Mr. Spaar devoted his time and huge heart to bringing this event to life, and his legacy continues through the community’s efforts to carry it forward. Organizers are now rallying volunteers and participants to help make the celebration a success. We need all the farms and stables to here this.
