Mental Health First Aid - 2 Day Course
November 13th, 2025 - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
November 14th, 2025 - 8:30 am to 4:30 pm
While the course has a youth based focus, ages 12-24, the skills that are taught are the same as the general course for people that work with adults and in addition provides two additional modules that the general course doesn’t cover; eating disorders and deliberate self-injury.
The instructor will lead the group through 7 modules covering:
- Mental health problems and stigma
- Substance related disorders
- Mood related and suicide intervention strategies
- Anxiety and PTSD related disorders
- Eating disorders
- Psychotic disorders
- Deliberate self-injury
This is a nationally recognized program with certificates from the Mental Health Commission of Canada upon successful completion.
