Directed by Imogen Lilley. Dance Nation is a contemporary dramatic comedy about a group of competitive pre-teen dancers preparing for a national dance competition in Tampa Bay. Set in a small American town, the play follows the dancers as they rehearse, compete, and struggle with friendship, rivalry, ambition, and the challenges of growing up. 

While the immediate goal is winning the Boogie Down Grand Prix, the deeper story explores adolescence, identity, body image, sexuality, and the desire for power and recognition. The play frequently shifts between realism and fantasy, revealing the characters' inner thoughts, fears, and dreams as they move from childhood toward adulthood.
