Join us on Saturday 9 August for our annual showcase event celebrating diversity with a live stage and the Broad Street Parade of carnival costumes.
The free event takes place outside M&S in Broad Street Reading from midday to 5.30pm and showcases music, dance and costumes from Africa, Asia, South America, Europe and The Caribbean.
The lineup of performers for this year includes:
RASPO - steel band
Jazzrobeat Collective - youth jazz funk band
Kaagô - African drumming and dance
Beatroots - Samba
Broad Street Parade featuring puppets by Global Grooves, flags, percussion music and carnival costumes by Lost In Paradise Mas
Lord B - Afrobeat R&B
Harmonie Dejà - Reggae, R&B/Soul
Gerry Ranks - Calypso
Past events featured a range of local and international artists including Ylê De Egbá (Brazil), Triniboi Joocie, Earl Sixteen, Soca Massive, Mahogany Mas and many more.
