# Event Details - **Event Name**: Artist in residence - Miniature World Making for adults - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 08 Aug, 2026 at 10:30 am – Sat, 08 Aug, 2026 at 12:00 pm - **Event Description**: Join artist Yifei Ma for a shared miniature world-making session.About this EventJoin artist Yifei for a workshop focusesdon how miniature worlds relate to one another through space.Participants will explore how objects, areas and environments can be connected or separated using materials, distance, light and simple structures.Rather than creating new objects, this session is about arranging, linking and adjusting what already exists, working slowly and collaboratively.About the artistYifei Ma is a theatre maker and scenographer working across theatre-making, set and costume design, and miniature-led participatory practice. Her work is visual-led, using miniature worlds, objects and spatial composition as a form of non-verbal storytelling.Moving between performance, workshops and community contexts, Yifei designs environments where narrative is produced through making, looking and arranging. Her workshops with young people and under-represented communities are integral to her artistic practice, offering alternative ways of engaging with authorship, play and shared space beyond language.This workshop is part of a public engagment programme for our artist resident scheme which means the ticket price covers only the materials. We are the last unit before the toilets and exit to the carpark. If you get lost please ask any Broad St Mall security guard and they will direct you.If I cannot make my paid workshop, can I transfer my ticket to another event or get a refund?We are able to offer a refund or transfer your ticket to a future event if you contact us a minimum of 7 days before the event starts. After this time we cannot offer any refunds or transfers. 48 hours before the event you can contact us to enquire about a waiting list and we will endeavour to transfer your ticket.
