Are you ready to take your agency’s training to the next level? Willapa Firearms Training is proud to host the NRA Law Enforcement Handgun Instructor Development School. This intensive 5-day, 44-hour course is designed to prepare public and private law enforcement officers to develop and conduct safe, effective, and reality-based handgun training programs.

?️ Why Attend?
This is the NRA’s premier handgun instructor school. You won't just be shooting; you'll be learning how to teach. The curriculum covers:

Instructional Methodology: Adult learning principles and effective communication.

Tactical Proficiency: Shooting while moving, use of cover, and multiple threat engagement.

Specialized Training: Reduced light shooting, one-handed malfunction clearing, and off-duty/concealed carry considerations.

Program Development: Building lesson plans and practical range drills relevant to your agency’s needs.

Monday: 0730 – 1800

Tuesday – Friday: 0800 – 1730

Late Night: One evening will be dedicated to Reduced Light Training (date TBD during the week).

Attendance: 100% attendance is mandatory for certification.
