Erin is a 37-year-old single mum to the beautiful Dixie, her whole world.
Around 18 months ago, Erin’s life was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis, a rare condition where the immune system turns on the liver. In February, she received a life-saving liver transplant, but heartbreakingly, her body rejected it just 5 weeks later.
Since then, Erin has faced every complication imaginable, most recently now diagnosed with thyroid cancer. She is now in the fight of her life, back on the transplant list and hoping for another miracle.
Throughout all of this, her mum Jo has been by her side every single day at RPA Hospital in Sydney, putting her own life on hold to support her daughter. That’s meant months away from home, extra expenses for hospital parking, food, and everything in between, all while carrying the emotional weight of watching your child suffer.
Back home, Dixie is being lovingly cared for by Uncle Jack, Pop Chris, Aunty Alison & Uncle David, and help from so many beautiful souls doing all they can to keep life stable for her.
Erin’s dear friend Jess and her family have been organising an event to help lift the load emotionally and financially, and we would love your support.
There’ll be raffles, a 100 club with so many amazing prizes donated by the community, and plenty of ways to show your love. If you can’t make it but would still like to contribute, we have an account set up you can transfer anything you can to DM Alison for details.
This family has been through so much. Let’s come together and show them they’re not alone. 💛
