Get Ready for the Heart of Ravenswood Community Supper!
For the past few months, Downtown Ravenswood Partners has been busy behind the scenes, pouring our energy into planning our very first downtown event: the Heart of Ravenswood Community Supper! Our goal is to bring our community together to share a meal, make new connections, and celebrate all that makes Ravenswood special.
If you want a glimpse of what this kind of community spirit looks like, check out this video from a similar event in Elkins, WV:

Free Food from Ravenswood's Best Restaurants
We're thrilled to announce that seven fantastic locally owned restaurants in the Ravenswood area have already committed to feeding our community that night: Butcher Block, Dawg Pound, Santee Sweets, Inaka’s Hibachi, Steaming Cup, The Feed Trough, and Las Fajitas. These businesses are eager to share their culinary talents with you.
Free Live Entertainment
We will also have entertainment from Laurie Mae, a beautiful country western singer. Read more about Laurie on her Facebook page.

Ravenswood Arts to host Thrift Store Art Challenge
One of our newest downtown businesses, Ravenswood Arts, will also be hosting a Thrift Store Art Challenge. Repurposed art pieces can be brought to the dinner, and the community will vote on which is the best! The gallery will also have arts and crafts and games for the kids. Read more about the challenge here.

Parking
Free parking will be available at the Ravenswood Plaza. Golf carts will shuttle people back and forth to their cars.
Street Closures
Beginning Friday evening, July 11th, the one-way portion of Walnut Street (from the light at Washington Street down to Race Street) will be shut down to prepare for this event. By Friday afternoon, don't park on Walnut Street next to the Wright Co. building. Barricades will be set up across the street from Washington St. down to Race St.
Information for our Downtown Businesses
We encourage our downtown businesses to remain open that night to take advantage of the guests arriving for the dinner. We are also happy to have you set up a vendor table on the Santee Sweets/Black Sheep Tattoo side of the street. Just contact us if you'd like to do that.
