Mission Tejas Trail Run

Return to the Mission 🌲 Fall of 2025

Mission Tejas Trail Run is will be returning in the Fall of 2025 after a two year hiatus due to park infrastructure upgrades.

The park has been undergoing some important infrastructure upgrades the past two years which have prevented us from hosting our annual Mission Tejas event but we are excited to be back in the Fall of 2025. The park is still open for day use during construction, but you should always check state park websites before visiting a park to ensure no other closures or access requirements.

This hidden gem of Texas is located between Crocket/Palestine/Nacogdoches/Lufkin amongst the tall Pineywoods. The Mission Tejas trails are a great mix of straw pine-laced single track, winding downhills, and fun CCC-built rock stairs. When you are running towards the front of the park you will be climbing, and coming back, you will be descending, so prepare for some vert.

The event has typically hosted 5k, 10k, 25k, and 50k races over two 5k loops. Once the park is back open we will review the course options and open registration. Save the date for now!
