Join the group as we hike and explore the stunning Round Mountain Creek, a rarely visited hidden gem tucked away in rugged and remote terrain. This creek is home to gorgeous sandstone and granite gorges, deep swimming holes and crystal-clear pools, not to mention some truly awesome rock formations that make this area feel untouched and wild. It’s been a couple of years since we last explored this creek and the surrounding areas, so we can’t wait to get back out there and experience it all again. There will be sections of uneven terrain, creek crossings, and some moderate inclines and declines, but the scenery and remoteness make every step worthwhile. This hike is suitable for those with average fitness levels and above who are comfortable with off-track hiking. --------------------------- The hike will involve OFF TRAIL hiking The total DISTANCE of this event will be ~16k The TIME this event will take depends on group dynamics; however, we estimate ~8 hours at a moderate pace with breaks and time to explore the creek. The GROUP SIZE of this event will be ~15 HIKE LEADER: Michael Pugh ----------------------------- We will MEET at Ross Dam Carpark (end of Riverway Drive) at 8:00am sharp for a pre-hike/safety briefing and to organise carpooling to the start point. Please BE ON TIME and considerate of your fellow attendees by updating your RSVP if you cannot attend.
