- **Event Description**: Friday, September 26th, Cole was involved in a solo motorcycle accident in East Moline coming off I-88. From the accident, he was taken to Illini Hospital where they did an emergency splenectomy to stabilize him before they life-flighted him to Iowa City Hospital where he was treated for multiple brain bleeds, several broken bones and was placed in a medically induced coma for nearly 2 weeks. After 12 days, Cole was taken for another surgery to have a tracheostomy placed with hopes to be able to take him off the ventilator. After a day with the trach, Cole was showing signs of improvement and his team was able to successfully take him off the meds that were keeping him asleep. Several days after, Cole was able to leave the ICU and be moved to a different unit in hospital where he will be until he gets accepted into a rehabilitation facility likely a few hours away from home. 

We all want to thank everybody for their prayers and well wishes as they have been working! 

At this time, Kieli and Cole’s family and friends have decided to host a benefit to help alleviate some of the expenses that have been accruing. We will be having a silent auction, taco dinner and 50/50 raffle. Please stop by and say hi.
