BIG NEWS UPDATE !!!!!!!!!!
We’ve decided to extended the ‘AFTER HOURS ICE FISHING EVENT’ into an ‘ICE FISHING EXTRAVAGANZA WEEKEND’ here at The Rooster. Oyler and the boys will be kicking it off on Friday.
In addition and most importantly, all weekend we will be doing a winter hat and glove drive for the RAPID CITY CLUB FOR BOYS! We’ve already purchased 150 new hats and gloves for the Boys, but we want to do more so no kids is without this winter. Any free will cash donation gets you entered for a Clam Hub Shelter graciously donated from OC Outdoors!
Starting Dec 12th we will also begin our $5 pre-entry for the 2025-26 Rooster Ice Species Ice Contest with all proceeds going to the HOOKED ON HARDWATER EVENT! The species will be for the biggest Pike, Perch, Crappie, Bluegill, and the longest released Lake Trout!
During the 12th-14th event we will be re-introducing our Black Friday Sales Pricing on some excellent gear!
Every purchase during the Extravaganza will get you entered for some really cool door prizes!
The tentative ice fishing seminars topics will be updated soon, but will include ‘The Bus’ covering the brining process of herring and anchovies, and he will also be going over ice safety tips. Robby, a multi year winner of the SHERIDAN LAKE ICE TOURNAMENT pike division, will be going over tried and true tip-up tactics for the big toothy pike. Switch blade Kade will be covering the new OnX fish app, and how to spot good structure for an ice set up, as well as ICE CAMPING. Other topics we’ll be covering will include ICE SPEARING, VEXILAR DEMOS, FISH ARMOR FFS SHUTTLES, LAKE TROUT RIGS AND SET UPS, SMELT FISHING, and more.
It should be a fun weekend of all things ICE FISHING! Hope to see you the weekend of Dec 12th-14th to help scratch that ice fishing itch. We got The Bus out today lake hopping checking ice conditions so we will put together an updated ice report soon.
