Join UPROOTED and Aqua + Acre Market on Friday, December 12th from 6:00–7:30pm for an interactive evening designed for kids and their special person (parent, adult sibling, etc.). Expect an evening rooted in curiosity, hands-on learning, and growing together. The event will be held at Aqua & Acre, 614 St. Joseph St.
Your experience begins with UPROOTED, where you’ll create a One-of-a-Kind Terrarium and learn how soil, roots, and moisture work together to help plants thrive. Then, explore the world of water-based growing with Aqua + Acre as you dive into the basics of hydroponics and aquaponics, systems where plants grow entirely in water.
Together, you’ll test different water pH levels using kid-safe materials and discover how water quality affects plant health in both soil and water systems. You’ll also head home with your own Hydroponic Grow Buddy Kit, complete with three jars, three identical cuttings, and three different pH levels to observe and record at home.
At $55 for an adult and kiddo, you get to build a terrarium, enjoy a hands-on science class, and leave with a take-home growing experience, a killer deal for a night full of connection, creativity, and a little wonder.
