Event Details:
Ranger College is honored to host The Wall That Heals, a powerful traveling exhibit from the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund, bringing the legacy of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial to communities across the nation.
This three-quarter-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial stands 375 feet long and rises 7½ feet tall at its highest point. Etched on the wall are the names of more than 58,000 American service members who gave their lives or remain missing in action during the Vietnam War.
Accompanying the Wall is a Mobile Education Center, featuring historic photographs, personal stories, artifacts, and digital resources that help visitors understand the impact of the Vietnam War and honor the men and women who served.
What to Expect:
-A moving memorial experience honoring Vietnam veterans
-Opportunities for reflection, remembrance, and healing
-Educational displays and historical context
-Special ceremonies including an Opening Ceremony, Candlelight Ceremony, and In Memory Ceremony
-Meaningful experiences for individuals, families, students, veterans, and community groups
Additional Information:
The exhibit is open 24 hours a day during its stay
School and group tours will be available
Volunteers are welcome and encouraged
