Rangely OHV Adventure Rally is a three-day event on the Wagon Wheel West OHV trail system, Wagon Wheel OHV Trails (wagonwheeltrails.org).
The event includes a welcome mixer at the Rangely Automotive Museum Parking Lot where you can park your OHV to show it off, enjoy music, chat with old and new friends, and purchase ROAR merchandise. A fun ride at dusk to Kenney Reservoir, guided trail rides & shrimp boil. Also, during the event, you can find many different things to do such as an OHV rodeo, a Poker Run that benefits the Rio Blanco County Search & Rescue, an ongoing OHV Expo, and hundreds of miles of trails for open riding. New this year we are adding an OHV Shootout on Saturday, May 9th, 2026! A fast-paced obstacle challenge where drivers put their skills to the test on a rock-park style course. Fastest time wins… if you can make it clean through the gates! Come ride the High Mountain Desert of Northwestern Colorado!
All roads in Rangely are legal for OHV use, aside from CO HWY 64 (MAIN ST) which can only be crossed, as long as the machine is properly equipped. Required equipment includes a headlight, taillight, brakes, and a muffler/spark arrestor. NO DRIVING DIRECTLY ON MAIN STREET - CROSSING ONLY.

Riders must obtain a permit for Colorado OHV Trails you can click the link below and obtain it online under land & trails costing $25.25 you may also purchase the registration sticker with CASH at Rangely True Value (105 W. Main Street).
