Open Auditions for 80’s DIVA

Rangeley’s favorite musical event returns to the stage in August! The Rangeley Friends of the Arts will produce a live musical, 80’s DIVA, in August.
Auditions will be held at the RFA Lakeside Theater, 2493 Main St in Rangeley on Saturday May 9th, from 3:00 – 4:30PM. If you can’t make that audition date, please email Erin Smith (

This year’s production is a celebration of the full spectrum of music from the1980s — pop, rock, power ballads, new wave, glam, R&B, and everything in between. Our goal is to create the biggest, most memorable performances possible and represent a wide range of iconic 80’s genres and artists.
Please note:
• The song you audition with may not be the song you ultimately perform in the show. Final song selections and casting decisions will be made at the director’s discretion to ensure balance and variety across the production.
• While we love welcoming back past Divas, previous participation does not guarantee a role in this year’s production.
We are building a dynamic, high-energy show — so bring your personality, stage presence, and your inner 80’s icon.
At auditions, be prepared to present your song to a karaoke track or recording (a YouTube video works fine). Memorization is not required at auditions.
If you are interested in being involved but not as a soloist, please come and let us know what you’d like to do – we need back up dancers and singers, as well as stage crew, set design, lighting and sound techs. This is a great opportunity to get involved in something new and have some fun!

The performance dates are August 13, 14, 16, 17, all shows begin at 7:00 PM.
