Jim Sardonis - Artist Talk

Whale tails sculptor Jim Sardonis has a story and a connection to relate about each piece he's created, reflecting his empathetic listening and interacting with the world around him. He will share some of those stories as well as the creation of his whale tails sculptures that have become part of Randolph’s visual identity in an artist's talk, which is free and open to the public at Chandler Center for the Arts on Saturday, August 9th at 4:00 PM.

"Natural Forms" in Chandler Gallery is on view through September 13th and features works in bronze, stone, wood, and plaster that reveal the creative process behind Jim’s monumental public art. While many know Sardonis from his iconic sculptures Reverence and Whale Dance, this exhibit offers a rare glimpse into his sculptural development through maquettes, models, and explorations of his signature natural forms.
