Set in Jazz Age Chicago, the story follows Roxie Hart, a chorus girl who finds herself on death row after murdering her unfaithful lover. Determined to trade scandal for stardom, Roxie joins fellow “Merry Murderess” Velma Kelly as the two compete for headlines, fame, and ultimately freedom.
