Nothing says summer like fresh herbs, good food, and eating outside with people you love.Sunset at the Root: Summer Sauces is a golden hour farm to table tasting experience at The Root 66 Garden -seasonal, sustainable, and designed with your nutrition in mind. Watch three fresh herb sauces come to life using ingredients harvested right here at the garden, taste each one paired with a course, and leave with recipes you will reach for all summer long.These sauces are endlessly versatile. Drizzle them on BBQ vegetables. Toss with pasta on a weeknight. Spoon over roasted potatoes. Dip your bread. Dress your salad. Once you make them you will put them on everything.This is a tasting experience - satisfying and seasonal, not a full dinner. But you will not leave hungry.The Evening:Arrive at 5:30 PM and settle into the garden. Take in the outdoor air and setting, the fragrant herbs in jars all around you — the same herbs used in the demo. You will take home a fresh bundle at the end of the night so you can recreate one of these sauces using a downloadable recipe guide.At 6:00 PM the demo begins. Three Courses:The demo will be led by Brandi Jaramillo of Sunbalanced Nutrition. This 3 course tasting will be a delicious surprise to all of us as we show how to uplevel any meal with sauces created with what you already have onhand. We will let the garden lead our menu!To close the evening, intentional + organic sweet treats by Earthen Bites.Menu developed in collaboration with graduating students of the Cal Poly Pomona Dietetics Program.
