Drifting through reverb-soaked guitars, vibrating synths, and gently pulsing beats, the duo creates a hypnotic blend of voices and atmosphere. Their sound moves between melancholic indie folk and luminous dream-pop—evoking Bon Iver, Big Thief, and Velvet Underground, with the hazy textures of Beach House and Lana Del Rey, and the emotional depth of The National and Mazzy Star.
For their new album New Year’s Face, Nick & June teamed up in the U.S. with Grammy-winning producer Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Sharon Van Etten). The result is both cinematic and intimate—songs that feel like Polaroids from inner landscapes, exploring resilience, transformation, and the bittersweet beauty of endings and new beginnings.
The album features special appearances from friends and icons of the international indie scene, including members of The Antlers, Russian Red, Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire), Thomas Bartlett (Sufjan Stevens, St. Vincent), and musicians from The National.
Following the global success of their 2023 EP Beach Baby, Baby—with over 30 million streams, international press acclaim, and sold-out shows—Nick & June return with their most expansive and personal work to date.
