- **Event Description**: The festivities will kick off on Friday with a patriotic parade stepping off at 10:30 a.m. Participants should begin lining up at 10:00 a.m.  

The parade route HAS CHANGED and will travel from Mechanic St to Main Street, continue onto Church Street, and conclude at Finch Park. Participants who may have difficulty walking the full route are welcome to join their group at a point farther along the parade route. All participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue.
 
Community organizations are invited to take part in a banner competition celebrating Ramsey’s commemoration of America’s 250th Anniversary. The winning banner will be prominently displayed at the Ramsey Library. The winner will be announced during the Hometown Heroes Softball Game, which begins at 12:00 p.m. at Finch Park.
 
A patriotic costume competition will also be held. Individuals who wish to dress in patriotic attire or decorate a wagon or stroller are encouraged to participate in the parade. The VFW will award prizes of $200 for first place, $150 for second place, and $100 for third place in the form of gift cards to a Ramsey restaurant of the winner’s choice.
 
All spectators are encouraged to follow the parade to Finch Park and join together as a community. In addition to the softball game and competitions, attendees can enjoy relay races, a bounce house, and a spectacular barbecue hosted by the VFW.
