Yin yoga is a style of yoga that focuses on holding poses for extended periods (typically 5+ minutes) to deeply stretch and target the body's connective tissues, such as fascia, ligaments, and tendons. Yin yoga poses are held passively, without forcing or straining. Props like blocks, bolsters, and blankets are often used to support the body and enhance the stretch.
