Coffee Rides are casual morning adventures where people meet for a short ride to an outdoor location to share coffee and conversation. These relaxed and welcoming events bring people together by bike.Bring your own coffee-making equipment, or purchase coffee, tea, and breakfast treats from Dix Park’s House of Many Porches, located next to the new Gipson Play Plaza.This ride is open to all types of riders and wheels. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Little ones are welcome, but they must either ride on a parent or guardian’s bike or be able to maintain a 10 mph average pace for the 7-mile round trip. Helmets are strongly encouraged. Equpiment is not provided.Schedule7:30am - Meet Oaks &amp; Spokes at Oak City Cycling - 707 N Person St. Raleigh, NC 27604. The group ride will depart from this location.7:30am - 8:00am - Group ride to Dix Park's House of Many Porches - 701 Palmer Dr. Raleigh NC 27603. This should be between 3-3.5 miles.8:00am - 9:00am - Share coffee and coversation with fellow riders at the House of Many Porches.9:00am - 9:30m - Group ride from Dix Park back to Oak City Cycling.TicketsWhile free to attend, Registration is required. All participants should register for the liability waiver and program updates. This program is free thanks to Dix Park Conservancy donors.Directions &amp; ParkingThis outdoor program will meet at Oak City Cycling and bike ride to Dix Park's House of Many Porches. Program participants can park near Oak City Cycling. There are temporary restrooms located at the Big Field, Flowers Field, Magnolia Room, Oak Room, and by the Dog Park. Accessible temporary restrooms are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. Indoor accessible restrooms are available at Gipson Play Plaza, under the Superintendent’s House at the Stone Houses and at the Chapel during hours of operation.AccessibilityDix Park continues to strive to be accessible and welcoming for visitors, including those with disabilities. Currently, portions of Dix Park, including some areas where programs and events occur, have uneven surfaces and are not fully accessible. Accessibility is a primary focus for early park improvements and all future planning and development.Parking: Accessible parking spaces are available in all lots.Restrooms: Accessible temporary restrooms are located at the Big Field and Flowers Field. I hereby irrevocably authorize the City of Raleigh, the Dix Park Conservancy, and program partners to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute these photos for any lawful purpose.I have read this release thoroughly and understand that by registering for this program I am waiving legal rights.
