Rajshahi University School Cultural and Literary Club (RUSCLC) proudly presents the “1st Cultural and Literary Festival 2K25!” 🎭📖
A festival celebrating creativity, literature, and culture, where students can showcase their talents, learn new skills, and refine their artistic and literary abilities.

The participants will fall into three distinct categories according to their grades in the year 2025.

🟡Primary Category(কিশলয়): Students of Class 3 to 5(তৃতীয় থেকে পঞ্চম শ্রেণি)
🟡Junior Category(উদীয়মান): Students of Class 6 to 8(ষষ্ঠ থেকে অষ্টম শ্রেণি)
🟡Secondary Category(অগ্রজ): Students of Class 9 to 12(তৃতীয় থেকে পঞ্চম শ্রেণি)

The engaging segments of the festival will fall into two categories.

Poetry is not just a play of words; it’s an expression of emotions. Participants will recite a poem of their choice, focusing on pronunciation, voice modulation, and emotional expression. Are you ready to mesmerize with your words?

কবিতা শুধুমাত্র শব্দের খেলা নয়; এটি এক অভিব্যক্তির মাধ্যম। প্রতিযোগীরা তাদের পছন্দের কবিতা আবৃত্তি করবে, যেখানে উচ্চারণ, কণ্ঠস্বরের ওঠানামা এবং আবেগ প্রকাশ মূল্যায়িত হবে।
Rules and Regulations:

• Time Limit: Each participant will be given 3-4 minutes to recite their poem.

• Language Options: Participants can choose to recite in either Bangla or English.

• Poem Selection: The poem must be appropriate for school environment and pre-approved by the organizers.
• Performance Guidelines: • No props or costumes are allowed • Basic gestures are permitted • Participants must announce the title and poet's name before starting

• Disqualification: Exceeding time limit or using inappropriate content will result in disqualification.

⚫🎨 Creative Canvas (চিত্রাঙ্কন প্রতিযোগিতা):
Unleash your creativity on the canvas! Participants will be given a specific time frame to create their artwork. Originality, theme relevance, and artistic skills will be judged. Can you bring your imagination to life?

তোমার সৃজনশীলতাকে ক্যানভাসে ফুটিয়ে তোলার সময় এসেছে! নির্দিষ্ট সময়ের মধ্যে অংশগ্রহণকারীরা তাদের শিল্পকর্ম সম্পন্ন করবে। মৌলিকতা, থিম এবং শিল্প দক্ষতা ভিত্তিতে বিচার করা হবে।

Rules and Regulations:

• Time Limit: Participants will have 60 minutes to complete their artwork.

• Materials: • Drawing paper will be provided by organizers • Participants must bring their own colors and drawing tools • Both color pencils and watercolors are allowed

• Theme: Any creative artwork will accepted . Make sure to no to copy any artist’s artwork .

• Performance Guidelines: • No external help or references allowed • No digital devices permitted • Work must be original and created on-site

• Disqualification: Using pre-drawn elements or copying will result in immediate disqualification.

Dance is not just movement—it’s an expression of feelings! Participants can perform any dance style, and they will be judged based on expression, stage presence, and synchronization.

নৃত্য শুধুমাত্র শারীরিক অভিব্যক্তি নয়, এটি অনুভূতির প্রকাশ! প্রতিযোগীরা যেকোনো নৃত্যের ধরন পরিবেশন করতে পারবে এবং বিচার করা হবে তাদের প্রকাশভঙ্গি, স্টেজ প্রেজেন্স ও তালমিলের উপর।

Rules and Regulations:

• Time Limit: Each performance should be 3-4 minutes long.

• Music: • Participants must submit their music in advance • Music should be school-appropriate • Both classical and modern dance styles are allowed

• Costume: • Appropriate dance costume is required • Costume should be modest and suitable for school environment.

• Performance Guidelines: • Basic props are allowed • Solo performances only • Stage must be left clean after performance

• Disqualification: Inappropriate music, costume, or exceeding time limit will result in disqualification.

A competition based on Bangla and English literature and creative thinking! Participants will face various challenges, and the top performers will proceed to the victory.

Rules and Regulations:

• Format: The competition will have only one round. The questions would be more informative rather than critical. So make sure to be prepared from the recommended books.

• Syllabus Coverage: • English Literature • Bangla Literature • Creative Writing • Literary Analysis • General Knowledge

•Recommendation: Two books are our priority .

A great speech can inspire change! Participants will deliver speeches on given topics, focusing on the strength of their arguments, presentation skills, and clarity of speech.

Rules and Regulations:

• Format: • Topics will be given on the spot • 2 minutes preparation time • 3-4 minutes speaking time

• Topic Categories: • Current Affairs • Social Issues • Education • Environment • Technology • Culture and Arts

• Guidelines: • No electronic devices during preparation • Notes made during preparation time can be used • English language only • Professional attire required

• Disqualification: • Going significantly over/under time limit • Using pre-prepared content • Inappropriate language or content

⚫🎶 Melody of Voices (Singing Competition)

Music has the power to touch hearts! Participants can perform songs in any genre—classical, folk, modern, or fusion. Judges will evaluate vocal quality, rhythm, and emotional connection.

Categories: The singing competition will be held in three different genres of music.

• Classical or Modern [ English and Bangla both are allowed ]

Rules and Regulations:

• Time Limit: Each performance should be 3-4 minutes long.
• Music: • Participants must bring their own music/karaoke track • Music should be school-appropriate
• Performance Guidelines: • Live musical instruments are not allowed • Solo performances only

It’s open for everyone ! YES. Anyone from school to university can participate in this segment !

Showcase your artistic craftsmanship! Participants can present their handmade crafts and artworks. Creativity, presentation, and artistic skills will be the key judging criteria.

Rules and Regulations:

• Format: • Artwork must be original and handmade • Multiple entries allowed per participant • Size limit: Maximum 2ft × 2ft

• Categories: • Traditional Crafts • Paper Art • Clay Modeling • Textile Art • Mixed Media • Painting/Drawing

• Display Guidelines: • Participants must set up their own displays • Name and category must be clearly labeled • Brief description of artwork required • Setup time: 30 minutes before the exhibition.

• Additional Rules: • All materials must be brought by participants • No harmful or hazardous materials • Artwork must be transportable • Must be present during judging
