- **Event Description**: Let’s write some really good stuff and read it out loud.About this EventWe will all create our own work trying to eliminate cliché (my heart is breaking, love is a battlefield, I’m drowning in tears) and forced rhymes. That is, we will not allow ourselves to insert a rhyme merely because we need one; we will not be forced by habit to let rhyme dictate the meaning. We will work making writing that is strange, precise and inevitable. We will create poetry that the reader/listener can really see.Will it be tough? Challenging perhaps.Will it be fun? Of course.Will it be rewarding. Guaranteed. Or you get your money back.The workshop is free by the way and limited to 14 people.Any questions?
