The SSI Deep Diving course extends your certified depth limit to 40 metres, teaching you the skills, planning, and awareness needed to dive safely at depth. From narcosis management to gas planning and emergency procedures, this course opens up a whole new world of dive sites — including many of the UK's most spectacular wrecks.

What will you learn:

Specialized pre-dive deep planning (calculating No-Decompression Limits and gas consumption)
Executing a controlled, vertical free-descent to a specific target depth, Performing a mental/motor skill assessment at depth to identify signs of Nitrogen Narcosis, Monitoring and managing gas consumption throughout the bottom phase, Demonstrating proper vertical dive profile management (preventing "sawtooth" profiles), Executing a controlled ascent at the correct rate (no faster than 9 meters per minute), Setting up and executing a simulated decompression stop or deep safety stop (at 5 meters/15 feet for at least 3 minutes).

What's Included:
- SSI online learning materials
- 3 open water dives at Vobster Quay (entry to be paid separately on the day)
- Equipment hire (exc Mask, snorkel, neoprene boots and torches)
- SSI Deep Diver certification

What's Not Included:
- Vobster Quay entry fess (£26 per diver, to be paid onsite)
- Travel to and from Vobster Quay
- Any additional dives required to complete the course
- As a deep diver you will need your own torch, we also recommend a back-up torch too!
