2026 Polar Plunge - New River

Brrrrrace yourself – the New River Polar Plunge Festival is back! Time to rally your friends to Go For The Cold in support of Special Olympics Virginia.

We have prizes for the best costumes and top fundraisers, heated changing tents to take the chill off, and ‒ of course ‒ an icy dip into the New River with hundreds of your closest friends! It’s a big day of feel-good fun for an even greater cause.

First-time plunger? You’ll love experiencing the thrill of the Plunge – and the warm feeling you’ll get helping to raise cold cash for 20,000 Special Olympics Virginia athletes.
