Caractacus Potts is an aspiring inventor and doting father. When his children beg him to fix up an old rusty, rotted race car, he takes on the challenge with pride. His tinkering transforms it into a magical, flying and floating vehicle, capturing the attention of both the lovely Truly Scrumptious and the greedy Baron and Baroness Bomburst. Wanting the car for themselves, the Bombursts capture Grandpa Potts and the family sets out on a rescue mission with Chitty as their chariot to save the day. The delightful musical includes classics like “Toot Sweets,” “Hushabye Mountain,” and of course, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.”

Music and Lyrics by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman, Music by Special Arrangement with Sony/ATV Publishing, Adapted for the Stage by Jeremy Sans, Based on the MGM Motion Picture, and Licensed Script Adapted by Ray Roderick.

Sponsored by SC Johnson, tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors (62 and above), and $17 for students (21 and under). Further savings are offered to groups of 12 or more. American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation by students in UW-Milwaukee’s ASL program will be provided during the performance on Friday, December 12 at 7 p.m.
