This is one of those treks you would not wish to miss and it is one of the best on our portfolio. Yes, they really do get better :-) Circular route that cuts through Buskett woodlands from where we will proceed via Clapham Junction. From here we will trek down in the direction of the Siggiewi outskirts, on the opposite side of Girgenti palace and into the lowland countryside, trudging alongside a watercourse that feeds off the Buskett valley before looping back to our start. You may expect to come across various features including cart ruts, corbelled tool sheds (Giren), wind driven water mills, stone water channel systems, water reservoirs, fertile orchards and verdant fields, quarries, wayside chapels, quaint country cottages, historical buildings including Verdala and Girgenti Palaces, panoramic views etc. Route Intensity: Medium. Mainly flatish trail with a couple of gentle and short climbs / clambers Pace: Moderate to steady Estimated Trek Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes - 3 hrs (Estimated) RAIN OR SHINE WE TREK !!! Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash Children welcome. Under 12 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. Very Important - We observe safety rigorously. For this reason, good trekking shoes are always recommended over other types of footwear. For your own safety, we urge you to invest in a good pair of trekkers to avoid injuries. Please avoid sandals, running shoes, plimsoles or other types of shoes that do not offer protection and foot stability. Walking sticks - recommended Cover from rain or sun advisable. Bring plenty of water for along the way. It is also always recommended to bring a spare change of clothing to change into after the trek.
