Theme: A time to take a moment, to embrace a Healing journey. Step into a sacred moment in time of to “Breath, Release &Renew.
Karen presentation will welcome an experience of “chair yoga and a short meditation”. Intentionally going on a path towards stress release, and working to restore balance to our mind, body and spirit. We will have a discussion afterwards. Chair yoga is an accessible, low-impact form of yoga that adapts traditional poises for a seated position or use of a chair for balance. Meditation is an ancient practice for awareness, calmness, and peacefulness while concentrating on breathing, focusing on an object or a thought.
Joyce will share a reading she wrote for a church in Ontario called “The Wildflowers: A Life of Resilience. To be resilient takes work, commitment and the desire to change. It is a process of effectively adapting to, recovering from, or thriving in the face of adversity, trauma, or significant stress. We will have a discussion afterwards.
Rev. Linton Worrell will present to the group a healing journey that builds on self-compassion, the gifts of imperfection and matters of the heart. Our discussion will focus on being vulnerable is not a weakness it’s our greatest measure of courage and to be human is to know sadness. Owning our sadness is courageous and necessary step in finding our way back to ourselves and each other. We all have the desire to be happy, experience joy, have inner peace and being loved and to love.
“We need more real love. Gritty, dangerous, wild-eyed, justice seeking love.” We will have a discussion afterwards.
Please join Karen, Joyce, and Rev. Linton as they facilitate a lovely retreat experience towards a Healing Journey with community and friends.
