VCU Health's Emergency Center at New Kent provides round-the-clock care for medical emergencies demanding critical attention close to home. As New Kent's first and only freestanding emergency center, we bring you the expert, life-changing emergency care of VCU Health at a convenient location.  

While you’re there:  

• Meet with the New Kent Sheriff's office and Henrico Police Department for child seat safety checks from 10:00 am - Noon 

• Learn about pediatric water safety with Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU 

• Have the kiddos explore fire trucks and police cars from New Kent Fire and EMS and New Kent Sheriff's office 

• Meet our Burn Outreach team  

• Learn about our Stop the Bleed program  

• Learn about our Injury and Violence Prevention Programs (IVPP)  

• See the VCU Health LifeEvac helicopter up close and meet some of the team  

• Learn about Hands-Only CPR with our VCU Health Pauley Heart Center 

• Learn about our Level I comprehensive trauma center
