Under the baton of Dr. Bruce Briney, the QSO opens the evening with Brahms’ lively Academic Festival Overture — a joyful blend of student drinking songs and grand symphonic flair.

? Then, be captivated by Principal Flute Rose Bishop performing Timothy Hagen’s Concerto for Flute — the composer’s “love letter to the flute community,” shimmering with strings, harp, and percussion.

? The concert concludes with Mendelssohn’s Reformation Symphony (No. 5) — a stirring masterpiece weaving together faith, history, and triumph, featuring the beloved chorale A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.
