✨✨ Make Quilcene Sparkle Decorating Day – The NHCCC Sparkle Project ✨🎄
The Brinnon–Quilcene Community Center Sparkle Project is officially underway! This heartwarming holiday effort aims to bring much-needed sparkle, cheer, and community pride to our beloved centers this season. We are launching a major initiative to bring enlightenment and holiday cheer to our communities by installing festive lights outside at both the Brinnon and Quilcene Community Centers.
Join us in Quilcene for our first dedicated Decoration Day! Bring your holiday spirit and help us transform the space into a festive, glowing gathering place! We are calling on community volunteers to help us "sparkle" by hanging lights, garlands, and wreaths.
🗓️ Make Quilcene Sparkle Day Details
• When: Wednesday, December 10th at 1 pm
• Where: The Quilcene Community Center
We are asking for community involvement in three key areas:
1. Volunteer Labor: Provide hands-on decorating help.
2. Decoration Donations: Donate new or gently used decorations, especially outdoor-safe LED lights, garlands, wreaths, and festive ornaments. Items should be in good working order.
Sasquatch Santa will be available for photos too. Children of all ages can get their selfie pictures taken with Sasquatch Santa, and because the North Hood Canal loves its creatures, pet selfies are absolutely welcome too!
🤝 The Sparkle Partnership
This community effort is made possible through a fantastic partnership coalition led by the North Hood Canal Chamber of Commerce. The NHCCC is leading coordination and organizational support.
We are thrilled to team up with:
• Emerald Towns Alliance (a proud sponsor and partner in community outreach)
• Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP) (who manages both community centers)
• Brinnon & Quilcene Fire Departments and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. The Fire/Sheriff Departments are key partners, offering expertise, equipment (ladders), and assistance for the safe hanging of exterior lights and decorations on high-up or difficult-to-reach areas.
