St. Distaff's Day is January 7th, the day after Epiphany and the end of 12 Days of Christmas which was traditionally full of merriment, laughter, and feasting.  It marks the traditional return to household work for women after Christmas, specifically resuming spinning with the distaff (a tool for holding wool/flax) to make yarn for cloth, symbolising women's labour.

Please join us if you can.  Complimentary coffee / tea / wassail (Hot apple juice) and treats will be available.
