This citizen science programme will provide youth with the chance to observe, document, and protect the rich biodiversity found in the newly-opened nature park. Learn how to identify animals such as birds and dragonflies, as well as the various field techniques used by scientists. The collected data will be invaluable in contributing to the conservation of Singapore’s precious ecosystems. No experience is required - all we need is your enthusiasm and curiosity!Whether you're interested in biodiversity monitoring or simply love nature, this walk offers a welcoming space to immerse in the life of a field biologist. You’ll also learn about our youth programmes and how you can get involved in making an impact!Participants are invited to deepen their experience by registering for the adjoining “WWF Beyond The Binos!" panel happening on 13th June as well to gain insights into a day in the life of our WWF Field experts.Important notes:Only registered participants will be able to join the programme.There will be 2-way bus transportation provided.The entire programme is 3 hours long (9.00am to 12:00pm), inclusive of bus transportationMeeting point is at the WWF-Singapore office, Earth Labs (parking lots available). Bus transport to Lim Chu Kang Nature Park will depart at 10.00am from the WWF-Singapore office after a theory session on fieldwork techniques.At the end of the programme, participants will be dropped off at Newton MRT station.Do wear comfortable attire, walking shoes and bring an umbrella, hat, water, insect repellent (if required).
