Gertrude Saddle and Barrier Knob

Stay overnight at Homer Hut, then head up to Gertrude Saddle and if the weather is fine and conditions allow, scramble on up to Barrier Knob. A head for heights is required, scrambling up rock slabs using wire cables is involved. Depending on how the day goes, either return to Invercargill or stay another night at Homer Hut.
