The Queenscliffe Maritime Festival is back with nine unforgettable days of maritime history, heritage, tall ships, rescue stories and community celebration — bigger and more exciting than ever.
This year, witness the spectacular arrival of the Alma Doepel, sailing into Queenscliff Harbour and offering a rare opportunity to get up close to one of Australia’s great working tall ships.
Across the Festival, enjoy: ⚓ Maritime History Week talks⚓ Special Museum and Lifeboat Shed tours⚓ The return of the Blessing of the Fleet⚓ A magical Sail Past of boats of all shapes and sizes⚓ A Boat Race off the front beach⚓ A vibrant harbour-side weekend including Shedding the Blues in the Boat Shed
🎉 Major Highlight — Friday 6 March (3.30–5.00 pm) Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Lifeboat Queenscliffe with a special community event honouring this nationally significant vessel, its crews, and a century of lifesaving — complete with songs, stories and birthday cake for all.
🍽️ Throughout the Festival, enjoy Tastes of the Sea — a special dining trail across Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale celebrating local seafood, coastal produce and maritime-inspired menus.
For nine days, Queenscliff becomes a place to learn, remember and experience what makes it one of Australia’s great maritime towns. Whether you love ships, stories, science, sailing or seafood, there’s something here for you.
⚠️ Talks and presentations are expected to book out — book early to avoid missing out. 🎟 Ticket links and the full program are in comments below via Try Booking Australia.
