- **Event Name**: An Evening with Glenn Pearsall
- **Event Start and End Date**: Mon, 20 Jul, 2026 at 07:00 pm – Mon, 20 Jul, 2026 at 10:00 pm
- **Event Description**: On Monday, July 20, the Warren County Historical Society is pleased to welcome historian and author Glenn Pearsall for an entertaining and eye-opening talk: “The American Revolution: What They Didn’t Tell You in High School.”

Glenn will pull back the curtain on some of the Revolution’s lesser-known facts, figures, and turning points — guiding his audience toward a broader, more accurate understanding of the real causes and impacts of America’s war for independence. Expect to leave with a few surprises, a fresh perspective, and maybe a new favorite chapter of history.

Glenn Pearsall is no stranger to uncovering the stories hiding in plain sight. A Johnsburg native and author of three acclaimed books on Adirondack history — Echoes in These Mountains (2008), When Men and Mountains Meet (2013), and Leaves Torn Asunder (2016) — Glenn has spent decades bringing forgotten corners of our region’s past back to life. His research on Civil War photographer Mathew Brady’s boyhood home drew coverage from the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post. His book When Men and Mountains Meet was named a National Finalist for the 2014 American Association of State and Local History Leadership Award.

This is the kind of evening that reminds us why history matters — and why it’s never quite what we think we know.

Doors open at 6:30 pm. The program runs from 7:00 to 8:00 pm.
