As kids design and personalize their beanie hats with patches and pins, parents, guardians, and neighbors are invited to join a Know Your Rights Presentation led by Hands Off NYC.
The presentation covers basic rights that community members have with different types of immigration and law enforcement agents (ICE, Border Patrol, and local police), and how to navigate different space and situations.
While this craft experience is completely free to attend, we encourage those who are able to consider making a donation to Make the Road.
Make the Road works to empower immigrant and working class communities by providing legal support, education, and advocacy while building collective power for a more just and equitable future.
This event is made possible thanks to the incredible support of our community sponsors, Queens Chapter of the New York Working Families Party, Make the Road, and Hands Off NYC.
