Fail Risk is a bold, unflinching new play about love, chronic illness, and survival. Following Peyton and Alex through the first five years of their marriage and the onset of a mysterious illness, it confronts guilt, burnout, and medical trauma while rejecting the “love conquers all” cliché. Centering the messy realities of illness, the play highlights the importance of trauma-informed medical care and the vital role of those who truly “get it” in surviving chronic illness.
Join us for a play reading of Fail Risk, written by Ali Hardy and produced in partnership with Reckless Theatrics. After the performance, you are welcome to join us at a local venue to be in community and chat about the show.
In order to be more accessible to the community, the reading will be live streamed.
This project is made possible, in part, with public funds from the Queens Art Fund, a re-grant program supported by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the city council and administered by New York Foundation for the Arts.
Info: The house will open at 5:45pm. The play runs approximately 2 hours with one 10 minute intermission.
Info: After we've cleared the theater, join us at a local spot to be in community and talk about the show.
